Trap.nz

Our sensors are ready to be registered on Trap.nz

Trap.nz is a free service used throughout NZ for recording trap, bait, monitoring, and biodiversity outcome data.

Before you can set up any sensors you need to create an account. Find out how here

You will also need to join a project. To join an existing project follow this. To create a new project follow this.

Once you are a member of a project you can then add traps, bait stations and then you can add sensors. To find out how to do this visit https://help.trap.nz/books/trapnz-comprehensive-user-guide/page/adding-installations.

  • Open the more tab and then complete the sensor data and required contact fields, then select save.

You should then be able to see the trap on your projects page

  • Turn notifications on through the ‘My account’ or ‘edit’ page.

When registered on trap.nz, and as long as your sensor is within LoRaWAN network coverage you will receive notifications when your trap is sprung.

Trap.nz works either via app or web.
