Trap.NZ states you need to: Trigger the trap a number of times to push a sensor message through the system. When mobile data reception is available, synchronise the app and ensure the sensor status has been updated (green or red.) If the status has not changed, double check the sensor details are correct, and sensor network coverage is available in the trapping area.

If you receive the error above it means that the sensor is assigned to another trap in trap.nz. In order to continue, the sensor needs to be removed from the trap. You may need the project administrator to locate and make any required changes.

Moving Installations in the App

If you have an installation that has any prior records and you are moving it a significant distance the app offers two different options:

  • Move location . Use this if you are physically moving the installation, retires installations can be reactivated at any time.
  • Correct position. This updates the coordinates of installations, use this option if you are correcting the mapped position. F
