Wire cage trap

For a sensor to work on the wire cage trap, the magnet needs to be attached to the door in a way that when the door closes shut (trap SPRUNG) then the magnet has moved away from the sensor.

We have done this using a small piece of aluminum cabled tied to the door. You could use a piece of sturdy plastic with a bend (such as conduit trunking). You shouldn’t use steel or iron as this can become magnetised and weaken the magnet.
